Your first 30 days.

You have your new account. Here is exactly what to do on day one, in the first week and in the first month, so you keep monetization and start growing.

Day 1

Secure the account

YouTube

  • Accept the owner invite we send, in YouTube Studio under Settings > Permissions.
  • YouTube lets a new owner become the primary owner after 7 days. Set a reminder and finish the transfer then.
  • Turn on 2-Step Verification on your Google account.
  • Link your own AdSense account in YouTube Studio > Earn.

TikTok

  • Change the password, then the email and phone number to your own.
  • Turn on 2-step verification in Settings > Security.
  • Log out of all other devices in Settings > Security > Manage devices.
  • Open TikTok Studio and check that Creator Rewards still shows as active.
Days 2–7

Change things slowly

YouTube

  • Do not change the name, logo, banner and niche all on the same day. Change one thing at a time.
  • Publish your first 2–3 videos in a topic close to the channel's current audience.
  • Use only music and clips you have the rights to. Copyright strikes are the fastest way to lose monetization.

TikTok

  • Post original videos of 1 minute or longer. Creator Rewards only pays on those.
  • Keep the first posts close to what the current followers already watch.
  • Avoid reposting other people's videos. Unoriginal content is not eligible for rewards.
Days 8–30

Build a routine

YouTube

  • Pick a schedule you can keep, for example 2 long videos a week, and stick to it.
  • Check Analytics weekly: which videos keep viewers watching longest?
  • Make videos 8 minutes or longer when the topic supports it, so mid-roll ads can run.

TikTok

  • Post at least 4–5 times a week. Consistency matters more than perfection.
  • Check which videos get qualified views in TikTok Studio and make more like them.
  • Read the Community Guidelines once. One serious violation can remove rewards access.
