TikTok Monetization Requirements in 2026: Creator Rewards, Shop and LIVE - cover image

TikTok has several ways to pay creators, and each one has its own rules. The main one is the Creator Rewards Program, which pays for views on longer videos. Here is what each program asks for in 2026.

Quick answer: the main program, Creator Rewards, needs 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in the last 30 days, an adult personal account and an eligible country. LIVE Gifts, Subscriptions and TikTok Shop each have their own rules, covered below.

Creator Rewards Program requirements

  • At least 10,000 followers.
  • At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
  • You are 18 or older.
  • A personal account (not a Business account) in good standing.
  • An account registered in an eligible country.
Only original videos longer than 1 minute earn rewards. Duets, Stitches and reposted clips do not count.

Which countries are eligible?

As of mid-2026, Creator Rewards is available in 8 countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Mexico and Brazil. If your account is registered somewhere else, the program will not show in your Creator tools, even with 10,000 followers.

How much does TikTok pay?

Creators report roughly $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views in the US, and less in most other countries. A qualified view is a view from the For You feed that lasts at least 5 seconds, so your total view count is usually higher than the views you are paid for.

  • 100,000 qualified views: about $40 to $100.
  • 1 million qualified views: about $400 to $1,000.

Other ways to earn on TikTok

  • TikTok Shop affiliate: earn a commission on products you promote. You can usually start with around 1,000 followers, are 18+ and verify your identity.
  • LIVE gifts: viewers send gifts during your LIVE, which turn into Diamonds you can cash out. LIVE usually needs about 1,000 followers.
  • Brand deals: companies pay you directly to make content. There is no follower minimum, but a clear niche helps.

Common reasons accounts get rejected

  • Most views come from videos shorter than 1 minute.
  • The account is set to Business.
  • Reposted or unoriginal content.
  • A recent Community Guidelines violation.
  • The account is registered in a country that is not eligible.
