Warmed Up TikTok Accounts: What They Are and Should You Buy

Search for TikTok accounts for sale and you will see "warmed up" accounts everywhere. Sellers say warming makes an account look like a normal user, so its videos get reach instead of being stuck at zero views. Some of that is reasonable, and some of it is a sales story. Here is what warming actually means, what TikTok itself has said, how to do it yourself for free, and what to check if you still want to buy one.
What does warming up a TikTok account mean?
Warming means using an account the way a real person would before you start posting: setting up a profile, watching videos in your niche, liking, commenting, following a few accounts and doing this over days, not minutes. The idea comes from how spam accounts behave. A brand-new account that posts dozens of videos in its first hour, or follows hundreds of accounts at once, looks like a bot. A warmed account looks like a person.
Does warming up a TikTok account actually work?
TikTok has not published anything about warming. What it has published, in its Newsroom explainer How TikTok recommends videos #ForYou, is how recommendations work. It says user interactions, like the videos you watch, like, share and comment on, and the accounts you follow, are the main signals, along with video information such as captions, sounds and hashtags. Device and account settings, such as language, country and device type, carry lower weight. And it says neither follower count nor previous high-performing videos are direct factors.
So warming can help in one honest way: it teaches TikTok what your account is interested in, which can help your own feed and possibly who TikTok tests your first videos with. It cannot make a weak video go viral, and there is no published evidence that a set number of warm-up days changes reach.
Is TikTok shadowbanning real?
TikTok does not use the word, but it does limit reach in specific cases. Its Community Guidelines say some content is allowed but not eligible for the For You feed, and that repeatedly posting such content may make the account and its content ineligible for recommendation. In April 2024, TikTok also said it would make whole accounts temporarily ineligible for the For You feed if they repeatedly break its feed standards, and that those accounts would be harder to find in search. Creators are notified and can appeal.
That means low views are usually about the content or a rule problem, not a missing warm-up. Check your account status in the app before blaming the algorithm.
How to warm up a new TikTok account yourself
| Days | What to do |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | Sign up with your own email and phone, add a profile photo, name and bio, and choose interests that match your niche. Turn on 2-step verification. |
| Days 2 to 4 | Spend 15 to 30 minutes a day watching videos in your niche. Watch the good ones to the end, like and comment naturally, follow a handful of creators. |
| Days 5 to 7 | Keep engaging, save a few videos, and note hooks and formats that work in your niche. Post your first 1 or 2 videos. |
| Week 2 onwards | Post on a steady schedule and keep using the account as a viewer between posts. |
A practical routine, not a TikTok rule. TikTok has not published a required warm-up period.
- Use one device and your normal internet connection. Do not hop between countries with a VPN; country is one of the account settings TikTok uses.
- Avoid mass actions: hundreds of follows or likes in a short time look automated.
- Do not use automation tools, follower apps or engagement groups.
- Post original content. Reposts from other creators are unoriginal and do not count for Creator Rewards later.
Should you buy warmed-up TikTok accounts?
Usually not, if the account has no audience. A warmed account with zero followers is roughly what you get after a week of using a free account yourself. It still needs 1,000 followers to go LIVE and 10,000 followers plus 100,000 views in 30 days for Creator Rewards. If you want an older account to start from, read our guide to aged accounts first.
What to check before you buy a warmed-up TikTok account
- Country of registration, especially if you want Creator Rewards later. It only works in eligible countries.
- Account status in the app: no violations, restrictions or removed videos.
- Who owns the email and phone. Both must be moved to you on day one.
- Signs of bulk creation: random usernames, no profile photo, or several near-identical accounts from the same seller.
- Followers that match views. Bought followers with tiny views are worse than no followers.
- A written replacement or refund policy, and a screen recording of the account rather than screenshots.
- Whether the account was ever used to get around a ban. TikTok may ban linked accounts in that case.
Remember that TikTok's Terms of Service say accounts should not be transferred without TikTok's permission, so any bought account carries some risk. A seller who hides that is a red flag.
What we sell instead
We do not sell warmed accounts with no audience. Our monetized TikTok accounts are established accounts with 10,000+ organic followers and Creator Rewards already on. Delivered within 12–24 hours: the login, email and phone are moved to you, and you change the password and recovery details straight away. Payouts go to the account holder's verified details, so if you live outside an eligible country, ask our support how payouts work for you before you order.
What is a warmed-up TikTok account?
An account someone has used like a normal viewer, watching, liking and following, for a while before it starts posting. It usually has few or no followers.
How long should you warm up a TikTok account?
TikTok has not published a warm-up period. Many creators spend a few days to a week using the account as a viewer before posting.
Do warmed-up TikTok accounts get more views?
There is no published evidence of that. TikTok says recommendations depend mainly on how viewers interact with your videos, not on follower count or past performance.
Are warmed-up TikTok accounts safe to buy?
They carry the same risks as any bought account: TikTok's terms on transfers, sellers who keep the email or phone, and unknown country of registration. Check those before paying.
Does a warmed account help with Creator Rewards?
No. Creator Rewards needs 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in 30 days, an adult personal account in good standing and an eligible country. Warming does not change any of these.
Can a new TikTok account go viral?
Yes. TikTok says follower count is not a direct factor in For You recommendations, so a strong video from a new account can still reach many people.
