How do I check if a TikTok username is available?

Type the username above and press Check username. If no public account uses it, the tool shows it as available. To be 100% sure, try it in the app under Profile → Edit profile → Username; if TikTok accepts it, it's yours.

Why does a username look available but TikTok won't let me use it?

TikTok hides banned accounts and keeps some usernames reserved, and a name that was just changed can stay locked for a while. Those don't show up as public profiles, so the app is the final check.

How often can I change my TikTok username?

Once every 30 days. After you change it, your old username may stay unavailable to others for a period.
