How to check a YouTube channel's age manually

  1. Open the channel on YouTube.
  2. Click the channel description (or More) to open the About panel.
  3. Find the line that starts with Joined: that is the creation date.

Why channel age matters

  • Buyers often ask for older channels with real history.
  • Age alone doesn't earn money; monetization needs the Partner Program requirements.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find out when a YouTube channel was created?

Open the channel, click the description or More to open the About panel, and look for the line that starts with Joined followed by a date. This tool reads that same public date for you.

How do I check how old my own YouTube channel is?

Enter your @handle above, or open your channel's About panel. YouTube Studio doesn't show the creation date directly.

What is an aged YouTube channel?

A channel that was created years ago. Age on its own doesn't earn money or guarantee growth, but some buyers prefer an older channel with history over a brand-new one.

Is the join date the same as the Google account's age?

Not always. The join date is when the YouTube channel was created, which can be later than the Google account behind it.
